Challenge: The “Swiss Photo Award – the selection” initiative aims to allow people to experience Swiss photography in all its creativity and establish itself as the most important Swiss photography platform. Every year it presents the best work in the categories Editorial, Fashion, Fine Art, Free, Journalism and Advertising. In order to advertise the wide range of activities held in all these categories, a design concept is required that matches the diverse content contained under the umbrella of Swiss photography while also strengthening the photography initiative’s brand.
Solution: Heads’ design concept is scalable and flexible. The excellent work by Swiss photographers is at the heart of the communication concept, and yet the website still ensures a high level of recognition. This means that every single communication measure helps to establish the initiative.
Result: Despite a practically unmanageable quantity of Swiss photo prizes and events, the institution can hold its own and make its mark on the Swiss cultural calendar: “Swiss Photo Award – the selection” has become one of the most renowned and highest-paying photo prizes in Switzerland.
